Yes – the 2023 SXCS schedule will be starting in 2022. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page as last year we made the transition late in the year. This year we want to make sure to give our racers enough of a notice as we have been through this season letting folks know the shift.
We are currently awaiting confirmation on our locations however here is what we have coming up next!
October 29 – 30th Round 1 is at a brand new facility in Maryland called Promised Land MX this place was quite a surprise and we are seriously super stoked to have an event there!
The Round 1 weeked will be on Holloween Weekend – which is perfect because there is likely no better moto event to attend then an SXCS Halloween Event! On Saturday we will have a Trail Ride which may or maynot be haunted – Followed by our annual GR8 Pumpkin Buddy Challenge (seriously a blast!) and then we will have a PITCROSS (pitbike race) under the lights!!
I’m sure we will have a pit-decoration contest and trick or treating for the littles… more details will be posted as we get a little closer.
Sunday is our points paying race which will be a GP. A GP consists of 2- 30 minute motos for adults and 2 – 20 minute motos for youth racers. The course is a blend of woods and a moto – hybrid… definetly flowy and fun! We have many classes available and a GP schedule will be posted when we are ready to open sign up – so yes you can sign up for multiple classes and maybe even win an Ironman award!
The Series:
As many of you already know if you follow SXCS we offer three different formats for 1 Championship! (2 GP races/ 2 Cross Country and 2 Sprint Enduro) The Sprint Enduro Rounds are 2 days of points paying – so basically the series is 8 Rounds of points. The series is also an AMA “Feature” Series so at the end of the season our Champions will receive an AMA Faetured Series #1 Plate!
Remember GP and Cross Country Rounds will usually offer a Trail Ride on Saturday and sometimes a Pitcross Race – always check the event flyers for details.
