Thanksgiving Reflection… here I am at 4am woken by thoughts about this journey and how fortunate we are.
When I really take the time to think about it I have been drawn to this sport because of family.
I have always been moved by the many families that I see at the races – and SXCS has some pretty RAD familiies! Generations of those that pass on their skills to that next generation and including them in this special lifestyle that embodies so many amazing skills and life lessons. I do truly admire those of you that come to the races with mom, dad, brothers and sisters… What a unique and special bond as well as pride you all must have – and you should.
SXCS is a growing family – I have made so many wonderful friends through this series and I personally feel so blessed to be a part of this amazing TEAM. Each and every event we go through makes me swell with pride for these special men and women. Their love for the sport is so evident – their actions speak volumes and I couldn’t be more proud of this Race Family…
So I think that “Family” is a big part of what I know I look forward to building with this series – “A Race Family”… and I want to Thank You for being a part of it… we are well on our way! When I look out on the race course or on Fun Day and see you – I see you – I see your improvements and inside I am cheering for you like a sister you didn’t know you had! All the planning that takes place pre-race and all those that work to make it reality – do it for you. When we think of a new idea or a cool feature on the course – we are thinking about you and if you will see its value. We want you to feel pride for this series and most of all we want you to feel like Family.
2020 has been a real rollercoaster but we are still encouraged by the feedback we are getting and we thank you for spending your many weekends with us. We understand the effort it takes to plan and make the journey and that is why every weekend you spend with SXCS we want to be quality – and we hope that you feel that.
SXCS is growing and you are a part of it – its a journey worth traveling as we are on our way to doing our part in buiding not only the Sport but the Race Community… our Race Family!
